Purchasing Agent Joliet, Illinois Contract/Temp to HirePurchasing Agent We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Purchasing Agent to join our team. The Purchasing Agent will be responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and negotiating the best deals for materials, equipment, and supplies needed by the company. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the procurement process, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers and vendors. This is a Contract to Hire role located near Joliet, IL. Responsibilities:

• Source and purchase materials, equipment, and supplies needed by the company
• Evaluate and negotiate the best deals with suppliers and vendors
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure that materials are ordered in a timely manner to avoid stockouts
• Create and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of goods
• Collaborate with other departments to determine purchasing needs and identify cost-saving opportunities
• Manage and maintain accurate records of all purchases and inventory
• Ensure compliance with all company purchasing policies and procedures Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field
• At least 1 year of experience in purchasing or procurement
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with purchasing software
• Familiarity with procurement regulations and laws Job Details:
• Contract to Hire
• Monday- Friday 8am-5pm with some flexibility
