We have an opening for an Analytic Production Specialist to enhance overall quality of LLNL products by proactively promoting all-source intelligence analysis through constructive feedback and training to ensure analytic integrity, clarity of message, customer focus, and adherence to appropriate Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs). To expand analytic outreach, you will also manage, evaluate, and process products for release and downgrade for increased accessibility as well as promote dissemination through website improvements, announcements, and interaction with professional colleagues and Intelligence Community stakeholders. This position is in the Global Security Principal Directorate---s Z Program.This position will be filled at either the TSS.3 or TSS.4 level depending on your qualifications. Additional job responsibilities (outlined below) will be assigned if you are selected at the higher level.Essential Duties - Serve as a subject matter expert by providing advice and training on best practices for tradecraft, quality, peer review, and access to all-source intelligence information to management and technical staff.- Provide technical editing and tradecraft review, under tight deadlines, to ensure clarity of message, high writing quality, and focused purpose across the full range of Z Program analytic products.- Coordinate and participate in the production review process to ensure analytic quality and management oversight/project tracking in compliance with Global Security project management requirements.- Solve complex problems related to tradecraft quality and effectiveness working independently in consultation with the production teams and analysts.- Participate in resource planning, resource allocation, project prioritization, and timely delivery of finished products.- Manage, evaluate, prepare, and process products to various Intelligence Community agencies for expanded release and downgrade; requires attention to detail, skilled understanding of classification procedures, and close coordination with analysts.- Identify, implement and present training materials to train and support personnel in proper analytic writing, analytic tradecraft, and tools/databases that support analytic effectiveness.- Oversee adherence of Z Program products to established classified marking and referencing standards.- Maintain required security in a Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) environment for information that is under direct control.- Perform other duties as assigned.In Addition at the TSS.4 level - Serve as the primary technical contact to interface with analysts, information technology staff, security staff, sponsors, and external counterparts in the evaluation, selection, and implementation of computer-based applications, tools, and databases.- Provide essential support and access which includes conducting beta testing of selectedtools/databases, establishing and maintaining accesses, monitoring usage, and coordinating installation.- Set specific technical priorities for an interdisciplinary team in the production process, tradecraft quality, and compliance/handling of classified material. Qualifications -Bachelor---s degree in physical science, engineering, political science or related discipline, or the equivalent combination of education and significant related experience in technical analysis.- Demonstrated advanced knowledge in the tradecraft of assembling and exploiting information from intelligence and other products and in the production of finished intelligence products, including coherent exposition of key judgments and scope notes.- Demonstrated advanced knowledge of Intelligence Community policies and procedures, including the handling and citing of intelligence derived information.- Significant experience in the advanced application of technical, applied science, and/or business principles, theories and concepts of high quality analytic tradecraft.- Demonstrated advanced organizational skills, attention to detail, problem-solving, and decision-making skills necessary to recommend and implement solutions to complex problems.- Significant experience conducting complex research and analytical assessments and writing detailed papers and other products that effectively convey complex analytical results with minimal supervision.- Significant experience working across organizational work units, with demonstrated effective team work and customer service skills.- Advanced verbal and written communication skills necessary to effectively collaborate in a team environment; author intelligence analyses; give presentations; and advise management as well as external sponsors and customers.In Addition at the TSS.4 level - Substantial experience with intelligence-related analytic tools (computer databases, applications) and ability to research, evaluate, implement, and train on select applications, tools, and databases.- Expert knowledge and substantial experience working within or with the Intelligence Community analyzing, preparing, and disseminating national security issues to include one or more of the following topics: counterterrorism, foreign nuclear weapon programs, cyber, WMD proliferation, and space.- Substantial experience and demonstrated ability to lead the application and development of principles, theories and concepts in an applicable discipline in a creative and innovative fashion.Desired Qualifications- Master---s degree in physical science, engineering, political science or related discipline, or the equivalent combination of education and significant related experience in technical analysis.- Demonstrated publication record in a relevant national security issue area.- Experience with intelligence information collection management tasking requirements and procedures.-- Pre-Employment Drug Test:-- External applicant(s) selected for this position will be required to pass a post-offer, pre-employment drug test.-- Security Clearance:-- This position requires an active Department of Energy (DOE) Q-level clearance or active Top Secret clearance issued by another U.S. government agency at time of hire.-- Also, you must have the ability to obtain and maintain Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) access.-- Please note that your current active Q or Top Secret clearance with DOE or another agency does not guarantee DOE SCI access approval; if you are denied access, you may be--subject to reinvestigation of--your existing Q or Top Secret clearance.------ Note:---- This is a Career Indefinite position.
