Job Description:This position requires you to function as a setup and operator of the CNC Plasma and Trumpf Fiber Laser cutting machines. You will be responsible for selecting lenses, loading programs, and calculating machine specs and parameters based on the material's thickness and type. Additionally, you are expected to cut the material, prepare products for other departments, keep the area organized and clean, and help other machine operators. As a laser or plasma operator, you must be able to work quickly, following instructions closely in a fast-paced environment.Job Duties:

• Set up and operate the CNC Laser (Messer CNC Plasma)
• Set up and operate the Trumpf Fiber Laser
• Perform material handling functions, including loading material for job runs.
• Measure finished items to confirm conformance
• Read work orders to determine specifications, such as materials to be used, locations of cutting lines, or dimensions and tolerances.
• Maintain shop, tools, and other equipment.Special Skills:
  • Requires 1-2 years of CNC Laser/Plasma experience in a metal manufacturing environment
  • Understanding of flat print drawings is desired
  • Forklift experience
  • Must be able to lift 70+ lbs., stand on feet for 8 or more hours, work in hot environment, must have a way to commute to Bradley, IL daily
  • Must be an independent worker who can be given tasks to complete without constant supervision after initial trainingWork Experience Required:
