POSITION SUMMARY:The Warehouse Inventory Supervisor is responsible for strategic operations of warehouse functions by coordinating cycle counting activities and maintaining stock records and is responsible for the Warehouse Inventory Program. The Inventory Supervisor conducts data analysis and supports existing policies and procedures, researches and recommends improvements regarding methods, equipment, and working conditions. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:Provide strong leadership for the department and communicate a strategic vision for the departmentMaintain structural integrity for best warehouse practices and efficiencies, developing streamlined processes and projects that focus on increasing efficiencies, safety, and organization. Review and enforce material tracking and quality control systemsBuild and develop strong relationships with internal and external customers Design and develop warehouse maps and maintain location masterInstitute and maintain a Cycle Count program including practices and reportingEvaluate and assess the structure, processes, and breakdown of workloadsEstablish warehouse KPI's and standards Track year over year fluctuations of material flow to show growth and decline trendsConduct data analysis for strategic planning Follow approved work instructions and oversee updates or the creation of work instructions as requiredDrives Lift Trucks when needed (must be certified) Work with Operations Managers to slot material with the goal of creating warehouse efficienciesDirect cycle count personnelDevelop audit and seal program to reduce cycle count time of slow-moving materialDetermine root cause of inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions to minimize inventory loss.Ensure compliance with customer's Statement of Requirements - record keeping, audit process, and reportingPerform shipment auditsCreate and distribute a monthly warehouse utilization report. Proactively suggest capacity solutions to upper management. WORKING CONDITIONS:Work is performed mostly in a warehouse environment with a controlled atmosphere. Some exposure to harsh conditions-such as: dust, fumes, noise, and varying temperatures-for moderate periods of time is possible. The Inventory Manager will be required to sit 40%, standing/walking 60% of the work day and will be required to lift and carry up to up to 50 pounds is required. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, talk and hear; and occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch, use hands and fingers to grip, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms climb or balance. All employees are required to follow safety standards, adhere to Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and wear all personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated areas. JOB SPECIFICATIONS:Education & ExperienceHigh School Diploma 5 years' of supply chain experiencePREFERRED: Bachelor's degree in Operations, Business, Supply Chain or related field SkillsProject Management: Managing projects from conception to implementation including developing a timeline, creating and executing phases, creating, allocating, and managing budgetary items, communicating and collaborating with other employees, and troubleshooting issues. Business savvy, with the ability to see how the project is tied to the organization's overarching business goals.Complex Problem Solving: Identify and investigate complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions. This includes being able to review the problem using statistical and analysis techniques Organization: Time management, attention to detail, ability to multi-task and prioritize and understand the importance of procedural compliance and process disciplineCommunication: Excellent oral and written communication as appropriate for the needs of the audience, including presentation and analytical skillsRelationship Building: Strong ability to build relationships with fellow employees and potential and current customersIndependence: Developing one's own way of doing things, guiding oneself with little or no supervision, and depending on oneself to get things doneTechnology: Excellent computer proficiency with an in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office & Windows based programs BehaviorsMust be extremely reliable, responsible, dependable, in order to fulfill obligationsEmbrace opportunities to expand personal competencies and capabilities through training & educationEngage and support Logistics' safety culture and efficient operation of the business and maintain positive working relationships with employees across the organization.
