PLACEMENT: Clerical, Grade 6
MINIMUM PAY RATE: $16.47 per hour

The Enrollment Clerk serves as the students' main point of contact
for the campus. Enrollment Clerks provide information to students
regardingJJCpolicies and procedures as they relate to admissions,
registration, student accounts and payments, counseling, financial
aid, photo identification services. Enrollment Clerks provide
support to college staff in a variety of ways on a daily basis.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Assist students
with facilitating online and phone registrations within the
Enrollment Center and work with Registration and Records to trouble
shoot and resolve problems. 2. Identify, investigate, and resolve
issues and processing errors regarding registration and records
areas. 3. Enter, verify and register students, and make necessary
corrections to the academic record. 4. Assist in maintaining
semester registration files as well as processing transcripts for
in person- requests. 5. Scan all registration and records
documents. 6. Answer student questions related to registration and
records, transcripts, grades, and record areas. 7. Cross-train in
areas for transcripts, and records; assist with related duties in
the records area when needed as well as work on special projects as
directed by the College Registrar, Coordinator of Records and
Registration. 8. Professionally represent Joliet Junior College and
uphold the College's core values: respect, inclusion, integrity,

sustainability. 8. Provide excellent student support by building
rapport, listening attentively, defusing escalated concerns,
confirming understanding, and connecting students with appropriate
follow-up services. 9. Assist students and visitors via telephone,
email, fax, text, chat or in person by providing general assistance
as needed. 10. Answer inquiries and provide information and
referrals. Assist students with processes including but not limited
to admissions, registration, dual credit registration, independent
study registration, photo identification services, using the
computers within the Enrollment Management Suite, and navigating
the student portal. 11. Schedule Student Development appointments;
assist with New Student Orientation as needed. 12. Print official
transcripts for current and former students. 13. Process payments,
issue receipts, prepare bank deposits, and reconcile payment
sessions daily. 14. Assist Enrollment Management with seasonal
projects including but not limited to graduation. 15. Assist the
Communication Center as needed to guide prospective, new, and
former students through the enrollment process. 16. Perform related
duties as assigned. MINIMUMQUALIFICATIONS 1. High school diploma or
equivalent. 2. Two (2) years of clerical experience. 3. Knowledge
of modern office practices and procedures. Willingness to learn
videoconferencing and Internet access. 4. Working knowledge of
personal computer and Microsoft Office skills including Word and
Excel. 5. Ability to handle multiple tasks and responsibilities
simultaneously. 6. Excellent customer service and phone skills. 7.
Access to transportation and a willingness to work at several
locations. 8. Ability and willingness to work cooperatively with a
diverse population. 9. Ability to establish and maintain
cooperative and effective working relationships with other members
of the college and community, displaying cultural competence as
well as emotional intelligence. 10. Demonstrated commitment to the

quality. PREFERREDQUALIFICATIONS
1. Associate's Degree.
2. English and Spanish verbal and written communication
proficiency. 3. Demonstrated multicultural competence. WORK
SCHEDULE 1. Twenty-eight (28) hours per week. 2. Various shifts
required, including evening and Saturday hours. PHYSICALDEMANDS
1. Normal office physical demands.
2. Ability to travel between campus locations and to community
events. WORKINGCONDITIONS
1. Duties are performed indoors in the usual office environment.
