POSITION SUMMARY:The HR Coordinator is responsible for providing the Human Resources department with administrative support will lead, plan, and execute the new hire experience and employee engagement activities. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:Coordinates hiring and onboarding processes utilizing ADP applicant tracking system, including phone screens, interviews, and processing background and drug screensLeads new hire orientations; maintaining an adequate supply of orientation materials and preparing orientation packetsEnsures completion of all new hire onboarding processes, both electronic and paper Plans and executes employee events such as luncheons, celebrations, and engagement activitiesAdminister Let's Chat program and stay interviews to ensure employee issues are addressed timelyMaintain adequate supply of logo items for new hires and giveaways Administer the uniform program, including billingAdminister the safety shoe and safety glasses reimbursement programAdminister the Logistibucks program including coordinating and managing orders and billingMaintain employee files to established standardsRespond appropriately to factual employee and management inquiriesCoordinate travel, as needed, including rental cars and hotel reservationsOther duties as required and assigned WORKING CONDITIONSWork is performed mostly in a controlled atmosphere. Some exposure to harsh conditions-such as: dust, fumes, noise, and varying temperatures-for short periods of time is possible. The HR Coordinator will be required to sit 75%, stand10%, and walk 15% of the work day. The ability to lift and carry 10-25 lbs regularly for short distances is required. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, use hands and fingers, grip, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and talk and hear. All employees are required to follow safety standards, adhere to Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and wear all personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated areas. JOB SPECIFICATIONSEducation & ExperienceHigh school diploma or GED (General Education Diploma) equivalencyMinimum 6 months to 1-year related experience and/or trainingPC literate to include Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel and OutlookAbility to read reports, business correspondence, and procedure manualsAbility to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and co-workersAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization existsPreferred: Bilingual in Spanish Skills Relationship Building: Strong ability to build relationships with supervisors and employees. This includes responding to questions from a variety of people including senior leadership, managers, applicants, employees, and the general public.
