Kelly Science is seeking temporary help for our client seeking a QC Lab Tech in University Park, ILImmediate Start$18-$20/hrThe Quality Control Technician will provide hands on technical support to production staff. This position is primarily responsible for maintaining quality standards by approving incoming materials, in-process production and finished products. These day to day quality control activities should follow quality systems and cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practice) compliance.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:--- Performing analytical bench testing on raw materials, in process production samples and finished products according to product specifications. Bench testing includes qualitative and quantitative analyses. Experience with running viscosity, moisture, wet chemistry titrations and limits testing preferred. Many products specifications must adhere to compendial monographs such as USP, AOCS, AOAC, ASTM.--- Support of Production Department in the analysis of products in a high-paced manufacturing environment which requires the timely and efficient completion of work in the lab. This will include verification of paperwork for inbound raw materials as well as manufactured batches for accuracy and adherence to procedural requirements. Escalating urgent items to the Quality Control Manager, as appropriate.--- Log samples and enter test results and data into LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System) software. Experience with LabVantage is a plus.--- Authorizes releases or holds of finished product based on lab results. This will include peer review of analytical testing in LIMS software.--- Perform final packaging verification of all seals, labels and packaging intact and accurate prior to finished product approval of shipment.--- Daily calibration of instruments such as FTIR, Karl Fischer titrator, UV-Vis, verification of scales.--POSITION REQUIREMENTS:--- Science Degree or Laboratory work experience----Interested?
