vary between 8:00 am and 8:00 pm; some weekend hours; essentially,

Students and Human Resources PLACEMENT: Non-union Support staff

POSITION SUMMARY Assist the College in contacting and conducting
follow-up and notifications in contact tracing with individuals
that are either symptomatic, exposed, or diagnosed with COVID-19 or
other communicable disease. The contact tracer receives a list of
names and contacts of those students or employees to gather
information on who they have been in close contact with during the
period when they may have been infectious. Responsibilities include
providing infectious and potentially infected individuals with
resources and instructions on appropriate next steps. ESSENTIAL JOB
DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 1.Understand symptoms, infectious
periods, testing, and categorizing of symptoms. 2.Place phone calls
to symptomatic, newly diagnosed, and potentially exposed students
and employees. 3.Review reporting form and interview individuals
documenting key information. 4.Ask questions that assist an
individual in retracing their steps to assist in identifying
possible exposures to other college employees and students.
5.Educate individuals on approved protocol to reduce the risk of
spread of infection. 6.Explain close contact, isolation, and
quarantine periods. 7.Collect and document information in an
information management system. 8.Determine specific
quarantine/isolation period for everyone. 9.Collect proper medical
documentation including test results and return to work or school
releases. 10.Send out communication to individual documenting the
information collected, next steps, and possible return dates.
11.Communicate with appropriate parties to inform that individuals
will be out and possible return date. 12.Conduct follow up to
collect medical releases and send letters of return to impacted
parties. 13.Close out cases and document data collection for
reporting. 14.Protect individual---s privacy. 15.Perform related
duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: 1.High School Diploma
or equivalent. 2.Ability to speak, read, and write English.
3.Ability to follow protocols and articulate those to individuals
impacted. 4.Exceptional communication and customer service skills.
5.Exhibit sound critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
6.Computer proficiency and ability to use cell phone apps to set-up
alternate phone number. 7.Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Preferred Qualifications: 1.Completed a contact training course.
2.Training or understanding of health care, customer service, or
related field. Physical Demands: 1.Normal office physical demands.
Working Conditions: 1.Duties are performed indoors in the usual
office and/or outdoor environment. 2.Work from home (remote work)
