NW Indiana based heavy industrial, steel fabricator seeking a 53'-90' Stretch Trailer Flat Bed Work Truck Driver to join our team! Position is responsible for safely operating a truck with a capacity of at least 40,000pound minimum (GVW) with a maximum capacity of 150,000-pound Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) Responsibilities: Safely operate a Tri-axle truck / stretch trailer, steerable, and drop decks with the coordination of escorts with the following types of loads - oversized (53' - 1 10' length), overweight, over height (13'-6" & above) , over width (8'-6" wide and above Load and unload cargo in steel yard as needed during down times Properly Track and document activity log, hours, and all paperwork Report any issues or incidents to manager Inspect truck before and after trip, must have basic knowledge of tractor/trailer Must tie/bind down loads / snap binder / ratchet binder Qualifications: Previous experience in truck driving stretch loads a plus, must have a manual indorsement 13 speed/ 18 speed Must have commercial driver's license, NO AUTOMATIC Ability to handle physical workload (lift more than 50 lbs.), working with hands and heights Strong work ethic Mechanical experience preferred Minimum of 3-months of training on site at our facility Benefits package includes 401 (k), health, prescription drug, vision, dental, life and disability insurance.
