A part-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)/Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) position is available within a K-12 school setting to provide essential medical support through a supportive medical needs program. The role offers 22.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday from 10:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with a contract extending through May 22, 2026. Key Responsibilities: - Deliver direct nursing care to students with medical needs, including performing g-tube flushing and feeding - Assist with personal care activities such as diapering, ensuring comfort and hygiene - Collaborate with educators and healthcare professionals to support individualized health plans - Maintain accurate documentation of all care provided in compliance with regulatory standards - Monitor student health and promptly report any changes or concerns to appropriate personnel Qualifications: - Valid LVN or LPN licensure is required - Possession of a Professional Educator License (PEL) preferred - Experience working in school health services or pediatric nursing is advantageous - Ability to perform specialized medical procedures such as g-tube management confidently - Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team Location and Schedule: - Onsite assignment in Lisle, Illinois - Part-time schedule of 22.5 hours weekly (10:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday) - Contract position through May 22, 2026 This role is ideal for a licensed nurse dedicated to supporting the health and well-being of school-aged children in a structured educational environment, with a focus on medical care and assistance.
