About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health
to find a qualified Telemetry RN in Harvey, Illinois, 60426! Job
Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Telemetry
Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours
Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience License: Must have state
RN license in hand Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Competency
in rhythm strip interpretation Description: Assess acute changes in
patients and work in a fast-paced environment. Experience with
chronic ventilation preferred. Use of EKG is required. RN must be
capable of rhythm strip interpretation and will be required to pass
an EKG strip test. Competence in initiating and maintaining cardiac
drips such as dobutamine, amiodarone, and cardizem is preferred.
Patient-to-RN ratios may be as high as 6:1 at times. The RN will
work with a CNA ratio of 10-12. Daily census averages around 40
patients. Special patient diagnoses include myocardial infarction,
arrhythmia, cerebrovascular accidents, syncope, diabetic
ketoacidosis, congestive heart failure, post-pacemaker, stent, EP
study, COVID-19, end-stage renal disease, and pulmonary embolism.
Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory
services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social
services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit
secretary. Special equipment utilized includes telemetry and IV
pumps. The role may involve floating to other units as needed.
