nurse RN CVICU for a per diem / prn nursing job in Joliet,

Discipline: RN Duration: Ongoing Shift: 12 hours, days, nights,
flexible, on call, rotating Employment Type: Per Diem We are
seeking an experienced Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU)
Registered Nurse to join our team on a per diem basis. This role
offers flexible scheduling and the opportunity to provide
specialized critical care to patients recovering from major cardiac
and thoracic surgeries, including open-heart procedures,
transplants, and vascular interventions. Responsibilities Provide
comprehensive nursing care to critically ill cardiovascular
patients. Monitor hemodynamic status, cardiac rhythms, and
post-operative recovery. Administer medications, manage
ventilators, and assist with invasive lines (Swan-Ganz, arterial,
and central lines). Collaborate closely with physicians,
perfusionists, and respiratory therapists in a multidisciplinary
team. Respond rapidly to changes in patient condition and initiate
appropriate interventions. Document assessments, treatments, and
patient progress accurately. Qualifications Active RN license in
IL. Minimum 2 years of recent CVICU or Cardiac Critical Care
experience. BLS and ACLS required; CCRN certification preferred.
Strong critical thinking, assessment, and communication skills.
