We Are Hiring: This role is eligible for $3,000 sign-on bonus, payable 50% after 90 days and 50% after 180 days, -provided you successfully complete all pre-employment requirements subject to the terms and conditions of the offer. - Internal candidates and former associates of six months or less are not eligible. -Title: Medical AssistantDepartment: Ascension Medical Group-Neurosurgery JolietSchedule: Mon-Fri 8 am to 4:30 pm. - However, must be available from 7:30 am to 5 pmLocation: 301 N. Madison Street, Suite 300, Joliet, IL - 60435. However, MAs in this office travel to Plainfield to see patients a few times per month. -Duties include: - Scanning, Clinic Prep, Schedulig Appointments, Rooming Patients, Handling Correspondence with Coordination of Care What You Will Do: Assist with the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician.

• Assist with treatments ordered by physician as supervised by physician or registered nurse.
• Perform select clinical duties.
• Interview patients, measure vital signs, and record information on patients' charts.
• Prepare treatment rooms for examination of patients.
• Perform basic clerical duties including answering the phone, maintaining records, and filing.
• Perform basic materials management functions to include ordering and stocking of supplies.
• Assist with maintaining a clean and orderly environment. What You Will Need: Licensure / Certification / Registration:
  • BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Medical Assistant preferred.Education:
    • High school diploma or GED required. Additional Preferences: No additional preferences.
