Job Description:

Industry leading pharmaceutical technology company is seeking a QC Scientist I to work in Kankakee, IL.

This is a nine (09) month contract position with the possibility of extension/temp to hire.

Max pay is $22.00/hour.

Working hours will be 6pm-6am on a rotating schedule, this will begin after the initial training which will be a 8am-5pm shift.

Summary:

This position is responsible for performing analytical testing on raw materials, intermediate products, and finished goods, adhering to GLPs, GMPs , and EHS requirements.

This role will be handling all of the quality testing for the entire site, so the successful candidate will need to be thorough, proficient, and quick in performing the Quality function.

Essential Functions:

Microbiological testing, including endotoxin, bioburden and environmental sampling

Spectrometry

HPLC

Interpret analytical data relative to specifications, process controls, and other analytical references

Perform investigations on aberrant data and initiate deviation reports

Maintain and control quality records in compliance with regulatory requirements

Conducts laboratory support functions

Maintains supply levels to ensure availability.

Requirements:

4 year degree in related life sciences field

Microbiology skills and strong aseptic technique

Spectrometer experience is required

HPLC experience

Understands the team organization and how the team cooperates with other teams in the area to jointly achieve objectives.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple conflicting resource requirements

Excellent communication skills

Strong computer skills including Excel and Access
