The Risk Manager is responsible for the design and implementation
of a comprehensive program intended to promote safety and reduce
the risk of injuries, infections and liability exposure for the
patients, employees and visitors of Riverside HealthCare. The Risk
Manager advises and consults with senior leadership and the Board
on potential sources of risk and makes recommendations on how to
eliminate or minimize potential loss exposures across the health
- Master's degree in clinical or related field preferred
- Minimum of five years of progressive experience in healthcare
administration with specific experience in healthcare risk
managementLicense or Certification Requirements:
- Certified professional in healthcare risk management (CPHRM)
- Coordinates activities with liability and workers comp
insurance coverage and defense counsel on behalf of Riverside
- Coordinates insurance coverage and risk financing.
- Design and implement employee health programs to promote
- Development and maintenance of risk management and employee
health databases for data analysis and reporting.
- Development and maintenance of unusual occurrence reporting
- Management of liability claims involving Riverside
- Manages and provides leadership in financial matters regarding
budgeting and cost control and revenue generation.
- Manages day-to-day operations of Risk Management.
- Participates and contributes to assigned committees, teams,
