Machinist Job Description We are seeking a Skilled Machinist to
operate and set up a variety of machines on complex work to close
tolerances. The role involves performing setups for other
operators, adhering to set standards and company policies, calling
up programs, and executing manual data input. Located in Lake
Zurich, IL, this position requires full on-site presence.
Responsibilities Perform advanced setup operations, including
aerospace and new product setups, adjusting and checking
programming, and operating numerically controlled machine tools for
complex machining operations. Troubleshoot issues before involving
the engineering department. Set up and run all machines on the
production floor. Train others in setup and operation of CNC
machines. Measure close tolerances and train others in proper
measuring techniques as a Certified First Piece Inspector. Handle
stacking/unloading of products and any other material handling
tasks. Effectively communicate with co-workers and management.
Accurately enter production quantities in the ERP system. Input job
data per MBP MMS requirements. Measure parts accurately per
inspection requirements using various gaging and metrology
equipment. Participate in team activities as needed. Serve as a
“go-to” person for accomplishing work. Essential Skills 3-5 years
of experience with Okuma Multus, including setting up programs with
low volume and high mix. Experience in Lathe with various brands
and ability to perform setups. Ability to follow written and verbal
instructions. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Basic
computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Advanced
blueprint reading and understanding of GD&T. Proper measuring
techniques with a variety of gages. Knowledge of ferrous and/or
non-ferrous materials. Strong mechanical aptitude. Additional
Skills & Qualifications Knowledge of basic mathematics. Ability to
perform setups for other operators. Experience in training others
on machine operations. Work Environment Experience a
temperature-controlled, clean, and well-lit facility equipped with
new machinery. The work environment promises comfort and efficiency
during the second shift from 4 PM to 2:30 AM, Monday through
Thursday. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based
out of Morton Grove, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this
position is $52000.00 - $83200.00/yr. Benefits - Including Medical,
