difference? You will analyze specifications, lay out metal stock,
set up and operate machine tools, and fit and assemble parts to
make and repair dies, cutting tools, jigs, fixtures, gauges, and
machinists' hand tools. What do we want to know about you? High
school diploma or general education degree (GED); Technical
associate’s degree. Ability to read and interrupt blueprints of a
technical nature, BOM’s, leadership capabilities, and be a problem
solver. 3 – 6 years of work-related experience; or equivalent
combination of education and experience3 – 6 years of work-related
experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Ability: The ability to read a limited number of two- and
three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences
between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and
speak simple sentences. Math Ability: The ability to add and
subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and
100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American
money and weight measurement, volume, and distance. Reasoning
Ability: The ability to apply common sense understanding to carry
out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability
to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in
standardized situations. Computer Skills: To perform this job
successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Manufacturing
software. What will your typical day look like? Cut, shape, and
trim blanks or blocks to specified lengths or shapes, using power
saws, power shears, rules, and hand tools. Conduct test runs with
completed tools or dies to ensure that parts meet specifications;
adjust as necessary. Fit and assemble parts to make, repair, or
modify dies, jigs, gauges, and tools, using machine tools and hand
tools. Set up and operate conventional or computer numerically
controlled machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, and
grinders to cut, bore, grind, or otherwise shape parts to prescribe
dimensions and finishes. Inspect finished dies for smoothness,
contour conformity, and defects. Study blueprints, sketches,
models, or specifications to plan sequences of operations for
fabricating tools, dies, or assemblies. Measure, mark, and scribe
metal or plastic stock to lay out machining, using instruments such
as protractors, micrometers, scribes, and rulers. Verify
dimensions, alignments, and clearances of finished parts for
conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments such as
calipers, gauge blocks, micrometers, and dial indicators. What
about the physical demands of the job? The employee must
occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision
abilities required by this job include close vision, distance
vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception. While performing
the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to
reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is
occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger,
handle, or feel and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Lift up to 35
pounds. They will be standing 100% Hearing 100% Pushing up to 30
pounds Stooping/bending 20% of the time Reaching 20% Walking 25%
Seeing 100% You may also be asked to perform other duties outside
of your function or trade, for which adequate training will be

one career level. The salary rate for this role is currently
$30-$35 per hour. The actual salary offered to a candidate may be
influenced by a variety of factors, such as: training, transferable
skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands
and work location. The base pay range is subject to change and may
