Job Description Job Description Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1 years Special Education Teacher experience required. A specialized opportunity is available for a dedicated Special Education Teacher to work with high school students in grades 9 through 12. This role focuses on supporting students with mild to moderate behavioral challenges, predominantly serving those with Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD), with speech therapy provided as a related service. This contract position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact throughout the school year. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique learning needs. Collaborate with related service providers, including speech therapists, to support student growth and development. Manage classroom behaviors using effective strategies suited for mild to moderate behavioral challenges. Track student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly. Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and confidence. Qualifications: Valid teaching certification in Special Education. Experience working with high school students (grades 9-12). Knowledge of instructional techniques for students with mild to moderate behavioral needs. Familiarity with SLD-related instructional strategies and speech therapy integration. Strong communication and collaboration skills.
