Speech Language Pathologist - School Location: Elgin, IL Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,493 per week Shift Information: 5 days x 15 hours Contract Duration: 37 Weeks Start Date: 2/23/2026 About the Position Job Title: Bi-Lingual Speech-Language Pathologist Profession: Bi-Lingual SLP Specialty: Special Education - TBD Duration: 37 weeks Shift: 08:30 - 15:15 Hours per Shift: 38 Experience: Minimum years of experience required License: PEL required Certifications: N/A Must-Have: Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting Description: Building site, bell schedule, and caseload will be determined during the interview at the preference of the candidate. Prevention can include consultation, in-service training, and speaking with parents and parent groups. Identification can include pre-referral (student support teams), screenings, and referrals for the evaluation process. Assessment may include data collection through standardized or non-standardized measures, interpretation, report writing, sharing results with parents and staff, determining eligibility for services, and developing IEPs. Intervention can include caseload management (scheduling), direct remediation within the educational setting, pull-out services, consulting on academic and social issues, developing ongoing goals, documenting progress, collaborating with classroom teachers, and holding annual review meetings. Completing caseload records for special education funding is required. Maintaining student IEPs and evaluations on a web-based computer program is necessary. The ability to work collaboratively in a team setting is essential. Must be able to work in noisy and crowded environments. The role may involve indoor or outdoor work in a busy educational environment. Frequent work at a fast pace with unscheduled interruptions is expected. May be required to leave the main work site to attend meetings. Public contact requires appropriate business-like apparel.
