A K-12 school in Streamwood, IL, is seeking a skilled Special Education Teacher for a contract position during the current school year (CSY). This role focuses on supporting students with diverse learning needs by implementing individualized education plans and collaborating with educators and families to promote student success. Responsibilities: - Develop and deliver specialized instruction tailored to students with varying abilities - Assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly - Collaborate with classroom teachers, therapists, and parents to create effective learning environments - Maintain accurate records in compliance with educational regulations - Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages student growth Qualifications: - Valid Special Education teaching certification - Experience working with K-12 students in special education settings - Strong understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and related legal requirements - Excellent communication and organizational skills - Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse student needs Location: - Streamwood, Illinois This contract position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students educational experiences during the current school year.
