Job Description:
The Performance Coach plays an important role in ensuring the DC
employees are capable of performing their job duties effectively
and efficiently. Reporting to the Learning & Development Manager
(L&D Mgr.), the Performance Coach will provide functional
training and coaching to new and low performing associates relating
to the job specific requirements in their assigned departments.
He/she must learn key operational aspects of all procedural,
systems and functional tasks, give in-classroom training to their
peers, and ensure that other associates understand their new job
roles within WMS, Functional and/or any procedural changes. This
includes training observations of associates with respect to their
performance against labor management standards and provide
additional recommendations on training support as needed. (While
the Performance Coach is expected to provide regular input to
supervisors and managers regarding performance, the Performance
Coach is not responsible for direct supervision and does not have
authority to change the terms and conditions of employment)Duties
and ResponsibilitiesSuggest changes based on knowledge of
operational changes and/or system enhancements made after the
development of the training program.Act as a mentor to associates
and provide guidance and support in order to develop the skills and
abilities needed to be successful in their roleAssists in
implementing refresher programs in the assigned areas as
needed.Facilitates short training sessions to address specific
operational needs, such as quality standards or simple system
enhancements.A resource for "refresher coaching/training" for
Staffing Associates, recent LOA returnees, marginal performers,
etc.Provides feedback to Learning and Development management to
offer suggestions and continually improve programs/processes for
quality/productivity gains.Completes training checklists and class
attendance rosters as required.Escorts training classes to the work
area and remains available to assist each trainee.Coordinates with
managers to obtain extra assistance where applicable.Remains in the
work area to respond to questions from trainees.Follows up with
recent new hires to answer questions and evaluate new hire program
and/or program effectiveness.Performs other related activities as

rate for this position is $23.50 Per hour depending on location,
knowledge, skills, education and experience. In addition, we offer
comprehensive and competitive benefits to Associates (and their
families) such as medical, dental, vision, life insurance,
short-term and long-term disability. Eligible Associates are able
to enroll in our company's 401k plan. Associates will accrue paid
time off up to 120 hours per year, including 56 hours of Floating
Holidays and paid sick time up to 64 hours per year unless
otherwise required by law. The Company observes two (2) Company
paid holidays.RequirementsQualifications - Education and/or
ExperienceHigh School Diploma or equivalent combination of training
and education required.Minimum 1 year of experience training or
mentoring employeesMinimum 1 year of experience working in
distribution, manufacturing or related industryDemonstrated
knowledge and skills of loading, stacking and other warehouse
equipmentMust be in good standing (no performance/attendance
write-ups within the last 6 months)Must communicate clearly and
effectively with associates and managersCan effectively work with
associates of diverse backgroundsFlexible to work other shifts
and/or weekends as requiredOperates with honesty and
integrityPhysical RequirementsGeneral warehouse environment
requiring ability to:Stand, walk, sit for extended
periodsCommunicate effectively in person, one on one and large
