Job Description Job Description Job Title: Accountant Location: Chicago, IL Salary Range: $60,000–$75,000 Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations and month-end close activities. This role is ideal for an accounting professional with hands-on experience across core accounting functions and a strong foundation in general ledger accounting. Key Responsibilities Manage and support accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes Prepare and post journal entries Assist with month-end close activities Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies Perform balance sheet account reconciliations and investigate variances Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred 3–5 years of accounting experience Strong hands-on experience with AR, AP, bank reconciliations, month-end close, and journal entries Solid understanding of GAAP and strong Excel skills; ERP system experience a plus We are proactively building a pipeline of Accountants for current and future hiring needs.
